Against a background of 31 years as a broadcaster, Rob’s affair with wine began in the 1960s, fermented into wine education in the seventies, export and commentary in the eighties and multi-media and presentation, from the nineties onwards.

His long-running radio show Grape Expectations continues as a web-site, as does his passion for telling the stories about quality wine, regardless of price point.

In recent years, Rob has spent much of his time working with the consumer-based Good Food & Wine Show and the trade exhibition Wine & Spirits, across Australia. Within these events he's responsible for the make-up and presentation within the wine theatres. In that sense, he is still an educator as well as a commentator.

Rob teaches wine appreciation in Melbourne (Australia) and in South East Asia.
